Mamaril, PhD of the Bureau of Plant Industry(BPI) alerts all DA Regional Executive Directors, BPI Center Chiefs, National Plant Quarantine Services Division, National Seed Quality Control Services Division and Crop Research and Production Support Division for possible pests to occur during the 3rd quarter of the year to closely monitor the listed areas. Rodent, armyworm/ cutworm, bacterial leaf blight, rice stemborer, brown planthopper are among the top pests. Pertinent information and possible management strategies for information and immediate action are also specified in the memorandum issued.
