The first quarterly review and assessment meeting of the National Seed Quality Control Services Division was held last March 28 – 31, 2016.  Headed by NSQCS  Division Chief,  Ruel C. Gesmundo, Regional Center chiefs and heads of satellite laboratories attended the meeting in Samal Island, Davao del Norte. During the meeting, physical and financial accomplishments of each cluster for the 1^st quarter were presented including issues and concerns.  Updates on plant material certification, profiling of seed inspectors and seed growers, reporting, rationalization plan, Good Agricultural Practices, Food Safety and other matters were discussed. Section Chiefs from the Administrative Division were also invited to help address different concerns of the NSQCS centers and offices on financial matters such as allocation and obligation, disbursement and liquidation. Planning, personnel matters, procurement and other admin matters were also addressed.
