5S Boy

There are few things that interest and unite Filipino the most: its basketball, boxing and pageants!

And the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) employees is no different.

In our pursuit to instill and create awareness of 5S, (Sort, Systematize, Sweep, Standardize, Self Discipline) to employees, the BPI Mister and Miss 5S was held on October 4, 2019.

Participated by gorgeous and smart individuals from different divisions, the candidates swayed to the red carpet wearing gowns and costumes from recyclable materials found in their respective offices.

Once again, amidst the hustle beating office deadlines, all divisions showed their support, cooperation and creativity in designing the costumes of the eight lads and ladies vying for BPI Mister and Miss 5S.

In behalf of Director George Y. Culaste and Assistant Director for Special Concerns Dr. Myer Mula, Assistant Director Gerald Glenn F. Panganiban congratulated the participants and gave his appreciation to the employees for supporting their candidates.

He encouraged all employees to practice 5S from this day forward so that it becomes a habit and later develop as character and values.

Currently, BPI is working towards ISO 9001:2015 certification and the 5S comes in handy to achieve organization, standardization and efficiency systematically and at the same time correct work inefficiencies.
