The Bureau of Plant Industry-Guimaras National Crop Research Development and Production Support Center (BPI-Guimaras NCRDPSC) in collaboration with Department of Agriculture Regional Office 6 and local government units concerned conducted series of trainings on good agricultural practice (GAP) on mango in Western Visayas (Region 6).

The training which aimed to update mango growers and extension workers on the latest technologies on mango production was conducted in two venues, Buenavista, Guimaras last June 13-14, 2016 and Bago City, Negros Occidental held on July 20-21, 2016.  A total of 61 participants attended the two-day training lecture which covers a topic on good agricultural practices on fruits and vegetables, GAP on bearing mango, general pesticide information and safety.

The said activity is in support to the high-value crops development program (HVCDP) of the Department of Agriculture and promotion on the adoption of good agricultural practices on crops for a safe and sustainable production.
